A young man was found shot to death on a North Hollywood street shortly after going on a test drive with two men who said they were interested in buying his 1973 Datzun 240Z sports car, police said today.

Richard Davis, 19, was found dead in the 6600 block of Teesdale Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. He had been shot repeatedly and was lying in the road a few blocks from his home, Detective Mike Coffey said.

Half an hour before the body was discovered, Davis had told his mother and sister that he was going to give two men a test drive, Coffey said. The men apparently had seen the car advertised in an auto sales magazine, Coffey said.
