Navy Offers Free Tours of Warships
The U.S. Naval Station at Long Beach is offering public tours of Navy warships on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, a Naval spokesman said.
Visits will be from noon to 4 p.m., starting today, Chief J.E. Smith said. A different ship will be used every other week.
The ships will be moored at Long Beach Terminal Island, Naval Station Pier Echo. Entrance is through the Naval Shipyard’s Gate 99, Smith said.
The tours are free, no tickets or reservations are necessary.
