Your article on San Miguel island (San Miguel, Sept. 17) was very interesting but I was disappointed that you laughed at and no longer listened to Steve, who was telling you that eel skin demagnetizes credit cards. I have read two article that state this to be true. It is even questioned whether it’s the eel skin itself or the chemicals used to treat it.
I hope you will continue to relate to us just such comments, without laughing.
