Singer Billy Joel was recovering Wednesday from surgery to remove a kidney stone. The 40-year-old entertainer collapsed Sunday at New York’s Kennedy Airport as he was about to board a plane for London, where he was to promote his new album, “Storm Front,” which will be released next month. He underwent surgery on Tuesday and is expected to make “a speedy recovery,” said his wife, model Christie Brinkley.
