The classic recordings overseen by “wall of sound” producer Phil Spector will be available again worldwide, thanks to the reactivation of Phil Spector Records. Spector and ABKCO Records Thursday announced an arrangement in which ABKCO will manufacture and distribute collections from the Spector catalogue in the United States, Canada and Japan. A previously announced deal with Spector, ABKCO and EMI will cover releases in the rest of the world. Seven Spector albums--including a boxed retrospective set--will be issued over the next 18 months.
