Youth Stabbed to Death in Apparent Gang Fight
A teen-age youth was stabbed to death in Mission Hills on Thursday in what appeared to be a gang-related slaying, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Javier Silva Jr., 18, was stabbed in the upper torso in the 15100 block of San Jose Street, Detective Al Ferrand said. Friends rushed Silva to Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Panorama City, where he was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. Ferrand said.
No suspects had been identified, he said.
