Robbers Ambush Deliverywoman
La Habra authorities were searching for two men who ambushed and assaulted a pizza deliverywoman at a large apartment complex at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, then robbed her of two pizzas and $45.
The victim, a 23-year-old of La Habra, was assaulted shortly after she arrived at the Woodlake apartment complex at 1490 W. Lambert St., La Habra, in what appeared to be a setup, according to Sgt. Kevin Raisch. Two suspects approached the woman from behind and one of them struck her over the head with a beer bottle, Raisch said. She fell and both suspects kicked her, she told police.
The woman, whose name was not released, was treated for minor injuries at Friendly Hills Regional Medical Center in La Habra and released.
