Garden Grove : Suspect Being Sought in Attack on Police Officers
A Garden Grove man is being sought in connection with an incident late Sunday night in which two police officers were beaten with a night stick and a walkie-talkie, police said Monday.
Garden Grove Police Officers Dan Clark and Nancy Bean were treated for cuts and bruises at Garden Grove Medical Center and released.
Police said the officers were trying to handle a disturbance at an apartment house in the 12000 block of Chapman Avenue about 11:30 p.m. when a young man there managed to take away one of their two-way radios and a night stick during questioning. The man struck both officers several times on their heads, then fled.
Police said they are seeking Santos Gomez Jr., 22, who is described as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.
