The State : 2 in Family Found Dead

An elderly woman and her son were found dead in their home in the San Diego County community of Leucadia, and the woman’s daughter, who lived in the house, was being questioned by sheriff’s deputies. The two apparently had been dead for some time, authorities said. Names of the family members were not released and officials had no immediate indications of how the two died. “The bodies were almost mummified,” sheriff’s dispatcher Dan Hernandez said. “Who knows how long she’s been in there with them?” Deputies made the grim discovery Sunday when the Sheriff’s Department received a call from a neighbor who had heard the daughter shouting. When deputies arrived, the daughter told them her brother was drunk and had tried to break into her room during the night. She wanted deputies to remove her brother.
