Two armed teen-agers robbed a convenience store of about $700 in cash late Tuesday night, police said.

The two male youths, armed with a shotgun and a handgun, entered the C & D Market on Edwards Avenue shortly after 10 p.m.

“One suspect told the clerk, ‘Yo, home boy, open the drawer,” Sgt. James Cutshaw said.

The bandits grabbed cash and fled westbound on Edwards Avenue.

Police said one bandit was described as about 6 feet tall and wearing a green army jacket and blue jeans, while his companion was about 5-foot-10 and wore a black baseball cap.

Both were about 17 years old and wore blue scarfs around the neck, Cutshaw said.
