1 Dead, 4 Injured in Van Nuys Shooting
Police on Sunday identified a man shot to death outside a Van Nuys apartment as 24-year-old Abel Rogero Acosta of Panorama City.
The shooting, at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday, also left four other men wounded outside the apartment at 14646 Blythe Street, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Tim Bergstrom.
Acosta and the four others were standing in a parking lot outside the apartment where they were shot by two or more gunmen, said Sgt. Fred Haptonstal.
Acosta died at the scene and three of the four wounded men remain in serious condition at a local hospital, Haptonstal said.
