The opening concert Jan. 25 at the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library will include the world premiere of a work by Mark Carlson, artistic director of the series, now in its fourth season. Also included will be Brahms’ Trio, Opus 114, and Mendelssohn’s Cello Sonata in D.

The Feb. 28 concert, also at the Clark library, will showcase a new work by Michael Kibbe, a Los Angeles composer and oboist of the North Wind Quartet. Also to be performed are Handel’s Trio Sonata in B minor, one of Rameau’s “Pieces de Clavecin,” and Bach’s Sonata for flute and continuo in E.

The final concert of the season, May 9 at the Biltmore, will feature the premiere of a work by Robert Kyr, formerly composer in residence with the New England Philharmonic, now a professor at UCLA. Also to be performed are Beethoven’s Piano Trio in E-flat, Opus 70, No. 2, and Poulenc’s Clarinet Sonata.

All public concerts begin at 8 p.m., and are preceded, one or two days before, by a performance of the same program in a private home.
