Local : Suspect Held in Anaheim Killing
A 22-year-old Buena Park man was arrested shortly after another man was fatally shot in the parking lot of an Anaheim motel early today, police said.
Robert Dodds Hoffstot was arrested a short distance from the Ruby Inn, 420 S. Beach Blvd., on suspicion of having killed the man during an argument, Anaheim police said. The name of the victim was being withheld until his relatives can be notified.
Anaheim officers found the victim lying in the motel parking lot at about 1:40 a.m. with several bullet wounds. Paramedics rushed him to Humana Hospital in West Anaheim, where he died a short time later.
Hoffstot was booked on suspicion of murder and was being held in the Anaheim Jail.
