SAN FRANCISCO —
A man plunged at least three stories to his death in Nordstrom’s department store today, landing on the basement concourse, police said.
“We had a call of a jumper and the person either jumped or fell from the third or fourth floor into the basement concourse level,” said Officer Dave Ambrose. The man was dead on arrival at San Francisco General Hospital.
The incident happened around 10:15 a.m. at Nordstrom’s Centre store, at busy 5th and Market streets in downtown San Francisco. The store is the flagship of the chain in the region.
