The Times Orange County Edition has changed some aspects of its format and is increasing its Orange County news report. The changes are aimed at presenting a better organized newspaper, and adding more local news in Orange County.

* Orange County readers will see a new, front-page Orange County Newswatch on weekdays. It is a newsletter that outlines what people in the county are talking about and how news and trends from around the world and around the county affect readers. Also:

* Orange County news appears on the front page and throughout all sections of the paper.

* Orange County developments throughout the paper are spotlighted in a Highlights column on the front of each section.

* Highlights, on the front page of each daily section except the A section, summarizes what is in the section.

* The Top of Today’s News on A2 briefly spotlights important news throughout the paper.
