The trade that sent running back Herschel Walker from the Dallas Cowboys to the Minnesota Vikings for several players and draft picks may also include rookie quarterback Steve Walsh, a Ft. Worth radio station reported.
Station KLIF said the Cowboys have an option to keep all five players and all of the conditional draft picks obtained in the trade with the Vikings. But to activate the option, the Cowboys would have to send Walsh to Minnesota before Feb. 1.
Neither the Vikings nor Cowboys officials have said Walsh was linked to the deal.
The station also reported that the Vikings will pay the Cowboys $2.5 million if Walker signs a contract extension with Minnesota. Dallas reportedly paid Walker $1.5 million to accept the trade.
