SINGAPORE —
The United Arab Emirates defeated China 2-1 on two late goals tonight in a match of Asia’s final qualifying round for the World Cup soccer tournament.
Teams from China, North Korea, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are competing in the qualifying round, scheduled to end Oct. 28.
