* LIVE Entertainment announced that it appointed Melvin A. Wilmore as president and chief executive of LIVE’s specialty retail group, where he will be responsible for the newly acquired 85-store Strawberries Records, Tapes and CDs chain, based in Connecticut. Wilmore was previously president and part owner of the 50-store Alberts Hosiery chain. LIVE, the Newbury Park entertainment conglomerate, also said it may acquire or start up new retail operations, which would become part of the specialty retail group.
