The Red Cross San Francisco Earthquake Relief fund will benefit from a special performance of “Durante,” the musical based on the life of Jimmy Durante, Sunday at 7 p.m. the Shubert Theatre in Century City. Tickets are $25. “Durante” was playing in San Francisco when the quake struck last week. The show’s regular run opens Tuesday and plays through Nov. 19.

The Red Cross Earthquake Fund and the Abbey Theater of Dublin will benefit from a special premiere of “My Left Foot” Nov. 10 at the Cineplex Odeon Theatre. Daniel Day-Lewis portrays the celebrated Irish writer and painter Christy Brown in the film.

The Encore National Sing-Off for Homeless Families will set up shop at the Improv in Santa Monica from 6-8 p.m. tonight, with proceeds from admission going to the House of Ruth, a shelter for homeless women and children in East Los Angeles. The Sing-Off is visiting five cities as part of Encore Homeless Families Week. Encore is a musical board game from Parker Brothers, a sponsor of the event.
