Deputies checking a burglar alarm at a Littlerock house stumbled upon a crop of marijuana plants in an adjacent yard and arrested the neighbor on suspicion of cultivating the drug, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said today.
The estimated dollar value of the roughly 40 plants and of bags of dried marijuana found inside the house was not available. Earl Zink, 57, who lives in the 10100 block of East Avenue S-6, was arrested.
The plants, ranging in height from six inches to eight feet, were discovered about 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Deputy Barbara Critchlow said. Later, operating with a search warrant, deputies found the bags of marijuana inside the house.
