The wife of New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor has filed for divorce, accusing her husband of extreme cruelty, her attorney said.

Deborah Belinda Taylor filed the papers in Superior Court in Hackensack, N.J., attorney Michael K. Diamond said.
