Sylmar 20, Van Nuys 3--Jerome Casey rushed for 89 yards in 13 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Spartans (4-2, 2-2) at Sylmar.

Casey put Sylmar ahead in the second quarter, 7-3, on a 27-yard touchdown pass from Daniel Terry. The Spartans increased the lead to 13-3 when Daniel Moreno, the holder on kicks, connected on a 20-yard scoring pass to Girmar Johnson on a fake field-goal play.

Casey capped the scoring with a 28-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Van Nuys running back Aaron Gadasy rushed for 89 yards in 26 carries.
