California : IN BRIEF : PICO RIVERA : Anniversary ‘Spin’ Worth $1 Million

A Pico Rivera landscaper won $1 million Saturday on the fourth anniversary show of the California Lottery’s “Big Spin.” Juan Reynoso, 58, who is married and has five children and 11 grandchildren, wants to use his winnings to buy a house and open a real estate business, said his son, Gilbert. Other winners included, Randall Sell of Stockton and James Mullins of Hollister, who each received $50,000. William Sager of San Gabriel, Gilda Jones of Los Angeles and Elizabeth Fucuals of San Jose each took home $40,000. Guadalupe Cavazos of Caruthers won $30,000. The $20,000 winners were Hugo Brescia of Inglewood, Robert Miller of McKinleyville, Terry Gartman of Newark and Segundo Llamas of Santa Maria. Fred Davis of Oxnard got $10,000. Over the last four years, 2,536 finalists have won a total of $412.7 million in the game. Reynoso was the 199th spinner to win $1 million or more.
