Hurst Cousins Pace Royal in Water Polo

Cousins Todd and Devin Hurst packed a 1-2 wallop at Royal High on Saturday, leading the Highlanders to a 17-7 nonleague water polo win over Costa Mesa.

Todd scored seven goals and Devin, the team’s leading scorer, added six in the rout for Royal (12-6 overall, 6-0 in league play).

“They single-handedly took them apart,” Royal Coach Steve Snyder said of the Highlander duo.

The Highlanders got more help from Tim Treglown, who scored three goals, and goalie Paul Krueger, who made 16 saves.
