An exhibit of rare Christmas sketches by the late Andy Warhol will be shown Sunday at 6:30 p.m. during an open house fund-raiser for the Center for the Study of Decorative Arts. The sketches are being released by Tiffany & Co. for the first time on the West Coast in conjunction with two Warhol-designed Christmas cards that the firm is putting out this year, according to John Loring, senior vice president and design director.

Warhol’s work, totaling 20 drawings, was commissioned by Tiffany & Co. for a Christmas card collection it established in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Loring said.

Loring is expected to attend the event to introduce his new book, “Tiffany Parties,” due for release next month. Ten custom-crafted Christmas trees, six of them decorated by South County designers, will also be displayed.
