In other league finals:

Frontier League: Bryan Dameworth of Agoura captured his fourth consecutive league title with a course record of 15:07 at Paramount Ranch.

The Chargers finished first in the team race with 20 points. Nordhoff (59) and Calabasas (75) were second and third.

Junior Deena Drossin (18:42) won her third league title in leading Agoura to the girls’ team crown over Nordhoff, 19-44.

Valley Pac-8 Conference: Birmingham senior Brian Gastelum clocked 14:59 at Pierce College to win his second conference title in as many years and led the Braves (33 points) to the team title over North Hollywood (68) and Monroe (73).

Rosa Melendez (19:47) of North Hollywood won the girls’ race, but Birmingham placed four runners among the top eight finishers to win the team title, 36-52, over the Huskies.

Northwest Valley Conference: Obed Aguirre of San Fernando won at Pierce College in a personal-best 15:08, but Taft grabbed five of the next six places to win the team crown with 22 points. Kennedy (63) and San Fernando (68) finished second and third.

Juniors Brian Godsey (15:33) and Kipp Ortenburger (15:49) led the Toreadors with second- and third-place finishes.
