The Sickels Group of San Diego has named Patrick J. Gravitt vice president of industrial development. Gravitt will be responsible for market identification, site acquisition, financing, marketing and leasing and the development of industrial projects throughout the Southland.

James J. Foreman has joined Kilroy Industries as senior industrial marketing executive. Foreman will focus on marketing and leasing the El Segundo-based company’s industrial and research and development properties.

Watson Land Co., developer of industrial centers in Los Angeles County, has named Ray Brandt vice president of sales and marketing. Based in Carson, Brandt will be interpreting trends in the marketplace, as well as negotiating the firm’s leasing and sales transactions.

Glenfed Development Corp., a subsidiary of Glendale Federal Bank headquartered in Encino, has made five announcements pertaining to its home building division: Louise Rice-Lawson, first vice president, responsible for planning and governmental relations; Ross Willard, vice president and regional manager, overseeing the Orange County region; Rick Curtis, vice president and regional manager, in charge of Los Angeles and Ventura county areas; Sandy Cassidy, vice president of purchasing and contract manager; and, Gary Schultz, assistant vice president of acquisitions.

Thomas O. Merle is the new vice president of marketing of the Ontario Center, a subsidiary of Chevron Land and Development Co. The center is a 673-acre mixed-use development in Ontario.

Wanda Chihak, vice president of development for the Koll Co., Los Angeles division, has been put in charge of the firm’s San Bernardino interests. Chihak will work out of the company’s new Inland Empire office and will oversee the construction of its Sierra Gateway project located in Fontana. The company has also named Bob Schultz manager of business development for its Los Angeles division.

Three announcements have been made by Trammell Crow Co.: John R. Burroughs has been appointed director of construction for its North Orange County and Riverside division; Robert E. Negohosian has joined the firm as director of design and construction for its South Orange County division, and Janine R. Padia has been promoted to managing director of operations for its Park Place project in Irvine.

Mark Spiro has been appointed vice president of finance for Inco homes in Upland. Spiro will handle all the company’s strategic financial planning and budgeting for its activities throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

Irvine-based Bramalea California Inc. has made three appointments: Tim McGinnis has been promoted to vice president and will be responsible for company expansion in Northern California; Ronald A. Kaufman has joined as vice president and project manager for the newest north Los Angeles division in Valencia, and Douglas W. McGregor has named director of marketing for Corporate Pointe, a master-planned business complex in Culver City.

Property Managers

Parkhill Partners has appointed Velma H. Hayden manager of Marketing Center for Metropolis, a 6.3-acre development in downtown Los Angeles. Hayden will coordinate the center’s sales presentations with brokers and their clients and assist in completing lease agreements.

Matthew Sato has joined Tishman West in Los Angeles as the on-site leasing manager for new leasing at 1900 and 1901 Avenue of the Stars in Century City.

Interior Designers

Los Angeles-based PHH Environments, an interior architectural and facilities planning firm, has made two announcements: Dannine Sheridan has been named director of sales, responsible for its marketing/sales activities in Los Angeles and Orange counties, and Karen L. Thomas, with design experience and management expertise, has been made managing principal of the firm’s Newport Beach office.

Two members of Stewart/Romberger & Associates’ design team have been named associates: J. Charles Balber and Chuck Kunze. Balber has also been promoted to director of design. The firm is based in downtown Los Angeles.

Planners

The president of Snyder Bridgwater Environmental Design, Clive M. Bridgwater, has been appointed co-chairman of the Los Angeles Business Council Housing Committee. Bridgwater will oversee the councils’ housing programs, including prototype housing studies, development of a “Housing 2000” report and experimental housing programs.

Diana B. Webb has been named to the newly created position of deputy chief of operations for Los Angeles’ Community Redevelopment Agency. Webb will assist its chief of operations, Robert Tague, in developing and carrying out agency policies, programs and project objectives.

Brokers

Lawrence J. Andrews has been promoted to managing director at Sperry Van Ness. Andrews will be working out of the firm’s Ontario regional office and will focus on the sale of apartment complexes in the San Gabriel Valley and San Bernardino County.

ACCOLADES: A tribute has been given to realtor Mike Silverman by the Los Angeles Area Council of Boy Scouts of America. Silverman has been honored with the 1989 Good Scout award for his dedicated service and for the example he has set for young people.
