Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback and University of California Coach Joe Kapp is returning to the scene of his greatest success to become president and part-owner of the British Columbia Lions.

Stock market entrepreneur Murray Pezim, a major player in the Vancouver Stock Exchange who bought the Canadian Football League club from a failing community ownership in September, did not say what percentage of the team Kapp would own.

Kapp led the Lions into the CFL championship game, the Grey Cup, in 1964.
