Beatles Suits Settled: Bhaskar Menon, chairman of EMI Music Worldwide and Capitol-EMI Music Inc., and George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono Lennon announced the settlement of all outstanding lawsuits between the artists, Apple, EMI Records and Capitol Records. The parties said they agreed not to comment on the settlement, although Menon issued a statement saying: “We are most delighted to have resolved all the differences which arose between us in recent years, and look forward to the continuation of our longstanding and close relationship with the artists and Apple.” The suits involved claims that the band members did not receive all royalities due them from their Capitol records.
