STATE : Irate Father Sought in Killing
From Times wire services
A 39-year-old man is believed to have shot and killed his daughter’s 17-year-old boyfriend during an argument over their romance, deputies said today.
Francisco Lopez, 17, was shot once in the head and pronounced dead at the scene in front of his South Gate house late Wednesday night, said deputy Van Mosley.
The suspect apparently had gone to the house to try to stop the boy from seeing his daughter, Mosley said. Deputies declined to release the name of the man, who fled after the shooting.
