Conductor Toshiyuki Shimada and soprano Evelyn de la Rosa will appear in a New Year’s Eve concert with the Pacific Symphony, after all.

Three days after describing as incorrect information about the concert published in a monthly calendar by the Performing Arts Center, orchestra officials said Thursday that Shimada and De la Rosa had subsequently been confirmed to appear and that the calendar is, in fact, correct.

The New Year’s Eve program, to be co-sponsored with the Orange County Philharmonic Society, will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a champagne reception in the ballroom of the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa.

A concert, including works by members of the Strauss family, Richard Rodgers, Jerome Kern and other composers, will begin at 8:15. A four-course dinner will be served at 9:30.

The event is the first time the Pacific and the Philharmonic Society have collaborated. Information: (714) 646-6277.
