COUNTYWIDE : What’s Closed for Veterans Day
Although Saturday is Veterans Day, the holiday will be observed today by many in the county. The following will be closed:
All federal and state offices and courts.
County courts.
City offices in Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Irvine, La Habra, La Palma, Laguna Beach, Mission Viejo, Orange, Placentia, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin and Yorba Linda.
Most banks and savings and loan institutions.
Post offices. Mail will be collected from mailboxes according to the posted holiday schedule today.
Public elementary, middle and high schools.
County offices will be open their regular hours. City offices in Brea, Garden Grove, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, San Clemente, Villa Park and Westminster will also be open regular hours.
School will be in session at Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.
Trash will be picked up on the regular schedule throughout the county.
Orange County Transit District buses and van pools will operate on regular schedules today and Saturday.
All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open regular hours today and Saturday.
