Camera Platforms Cuts Losses in 3rd Quarter

Camera Platforms International said it narrowed its losses for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 to $744,090 from $2.3 million for the same period a year before. Valencia-based Camera Platforms, which makes and markets television and movie production equipment, said its revenue for the period climbed 33% to $349,597 from $262,795 a year ago.

For the nine months that Sept. 30, the company said its losses decreased to $2.2 million from $3.8 million last year. Meanwhile, Camera Platforms revenue for the nine months increased 76% to $1.1 million from $642,847 in the prior period.
