Mack Trucks Inc.: The Allentown, Pa., truck manufacturer reported a third-quarter net loss of $87.5 million, contrasted with a $2.7-million profit a year ago. Revenue fell 27% to $367.4 million. Mack said the results reflect the adverse effects of industrywide softness in the North American heavy-duty truck market and difficulties encountered with the introduction of its new products.
