Price Club Opens in Fountain Valley: Price Club has opened a 130,000 square-foot Fountain Valley store, replacing a smaller site in Santa Ana.
The new store, located at MacArthur and Euclid, sits on more than 20 acres which will be developed to include fast-food operations and smaller retailers, said Brent Knudsen, a Price Club spokesman.
The new Price Club opened early this month, after the closure of the chain’s 100,000-square-foot operation, just a short way away at Harbor and MacArthur in Santa Ana. That store was “pushed for capacity,” Knudsen said. The chain expanded the Santa Ana site, which will be leased out, a few years ago and couldn’t add any more space there, he added.
Of Price Club’s 47 stores in eight states, three are in Orange County--in Fullerton, San Juan Capistrano and now Fountain Valley.
