Morale Problems at City Hall Spur Meeting

Share

West Hollywood officials have summoned city employees to an unprecedented meeting that some elected officials and city workers say was prompted by widespread morale problems and high turnover.

More than 120 city employees are to leave their desks this morning for the gathering at the Pacific Design Center called by City Manager Paul Brotzman. City offices will be closed for the morning.

A memo from Brotzman describes the meeting as an opportunity to “look at where we are as a city and as employees,” but employees say the gathering has been called because morale in City Hall is so low it is affecting the way the city is run.
