Colt Finds Potential Buyer for Unit: Colt Industries Inc. said it has found a prospective buyer for its firearms division. New York-based Colt didn’t identify the potential buyer for its two manufacturing plants in Hartford and West Hartford, Conn., but there was an indication that workers who have been on strike against Colt since January, 1986, might become the new owners with state assistance. Colt also warned 950 employees who replaced the striking union workers that they may face dismissal in January. The value of the potential deal wasn’t disclosed.
