Emmett R. (Abe) Stuber, 86, former coach at in Southeast Missouri State history and once director of player personnel for the NFL’s St. Louis Cardinals, died at Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was 86.

In 14 years at Southeast Missouri State, Stuber coached football, basketball and track teams to 17 conference championships.
