Wild Weather on East Coast Cancels Racing at 5 Tracks
Associated Press
Five thoroughbred tracks on the East Coast canceled their programs Tuesday because of high winds and other adverse weather.
A power outage at Rockingham, N.H., forced cancellation at that track, and gale-force winds pushed the Philadelphia Park program back to today.
High winds also knocked out Tuesday night’s racing at the Meadowlands, along with the daytime card at Laurel, Md., and Finger Lakes Race Track canceled its 12-race program because of frozen conditions.
