That sent starting netminder Daniel Berthiaume to the bench, but replacement Bob Essensa fared little better, as ex-Jet Paul MacLean and Kelly Chase scored to make it 5-1 after one period.

The Jets dominated the second period, outshooting St. Louis, 13-4, but their only score came when Brad Berry slapped in a pass from Randy Cunneyworth at 10:14.

Boston 6, Toronto 0--At Boston, Andy Moog stopped 32 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Bruins won their seventh in a row in a game marred by the ejection of 10 players.

Moog earned his eighth career shutout as the Bruins shut down the NHL’s second highest scoring team and extended their unbeaten streak to nine games (8-0-1).

The Bruins, who won their last three games by coming from behind with goals in the last two minutes, put the Maple Leafs away early with three goals in the first period as they took 20 shots on goalie Mark LaForest.
