14-Year-Old Driving Stolen Car Runs Into Boy

BOSTON — A stolen car driven by a 14-year-old boy ran onto a sidewalk during a police chase and struck an 8-year-old boy, injuring him critically, police said.
The younger boy was standing at a traffic light Saturday when he was struck, officials said. The driver was remanded to the Department of Youth Services, where he faces charges of car theft and leaving the scene of an accident after causing personal injury.
