NCAA WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL : Stanford Turns Back USC

Stanford defeated USC, 15-8, 13-15, 15-5, 15-7, Thursday night in the first round of the NCAA women’s volleyball championships West regional at Stanford.
Ninth-ranked Stanford improved its record to 17-11, and USC, unranked, ended the season at 19-12.
Top-ranked UCLA will be playing host to Pepperdine in a first-round match tonight at 7:30.
