When it comes to clothing, rock star Mick Jagger is “cool” but his longtime companion, Jerry Hall, could use a couple of pointers, People Magazine says.

Zeroing in on the fashion foibles and triumphs of the nation’s celebrities, the magazine Sunday announced its annual list of the best and worst dressed stars.

Topping the list of the best dressed were Princess Diana, Kevin Costner, John Candy and Jacqueline Onassis, called “the hippest woman ever” by one judge.

Among the others cited for their fashion savvy were Jagger, Angela Lansbury, Madonna, Marlon Brando, Michelle Pfeiffer and Mel Gibson.

The judges called Jagger “cool,” Madonna a “great stylist,” and Lansbury a “10 out of 10.”

With searing comments from its five-person panel of judges, People panned Bruce Springsteen, Kim Basinger, Sean Young and Elizabeth Taylor as the worst dressed.

The magazine also criticized Rod Stewart, Roseanne Barr, Hall, Geena Davis, Kathleen Sullivan and Prince Andrew for their sense of fashion.

The judges pulled no punches in their evaluations of the worst dressed, noting that Stewart is “always dressed badly,” Hall sports the “cockatoo look” and Young is “the scariest woman in fashion.”
