From Times Staff and Wire Service Reports

An autopsy was scheduled this morning on the body of a man found dead in his apartment Thursday night.

Orange police said the body of Juan G. Aguilar-Crevoisier was found by a friend who had gone to visit the 50-year-old bookkeeper in the apartment complex in the 1400 block of North Glassell Street. Sgt. Art Romo said detectives are treating the case as a robbery-homicide.

Romo said the victim had head wounds. The discovery was made about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night, but Romo said police believe that the man died at least 16 hours earlier.

“The door was ajar, so (the friend) went in,” Romo said. “He saw the dead body lying on the bed.”

Further checks revealed that a videocassette recorder, a television and the victim’s 1981 white Phoenix Pontiac were missing.

Romo asked anyone with information on the car, California license plate 1DEZ196, to call the Orange Police Department at (714) 532-0221.
