With college football’s regular season ending today, college basketball assumes its position as the weekend’s most televised sport.

For viewers with ESPN, Prime Ticket, SportsChannel and WGN, there are 10 live games available today. However, the two most attractive contests are broadcast at the same time: No. 5 Nevada Las Vegas meets No. 12 Oklahoma at 11 a.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39, while No. 6 Duke takes on eighth-ranked and defending national champion Michigan on Channels 7, 10 and 42.

Of local interest, UCLA plays host to the University of San Diego at 1 p.m. on Prime Ticket and USC heads south to face San Diego State at 7:30 p.m. on Prime Ticket. Loyola Marymount entertains UC Santa Barbara at 7:30 p.m. on SportsChannel.

In professional basketball, the Lakers make two appearances on Channels 9, 51 and 63--today against the Washington Bullets and Sunday against the expansion Orlando Magic. Both telecasts begin at 4:30 p.m. The Clippers face the Seattle SuperSonics at 7 p.m. tonight on Channel 5.

With the Raiders game blacked out, and the Rams set for Monday Night Football, Sunday’s pro football schedule is highlighted by two Super Bowl rematches. The surprising Green Bay Packers seek to continue their winning ways at the expense of the Kansas City Chiefs at 10 a.m., on Channels 4 and 36. At 1 p.m., the New York Giants head to the Denver to face the Broncos on Channels 2 and 8.
