The Pro Football Writers of America asked NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue to reprimand and fine Coach Sam Wyche for closing the Cincinnati Bengal locker room after Sunday’s loss to Seattle.
League rules require the opening of the locker room to the media within eight minutes after the end of a game.
Wyche spoke to reporters after the 24-17 loss but closed the locker room and barred his players from speaking to the writers.
