BUENA PARK : Hearing on Permit Denial Is Delayed

The City Council has delayed hearing an appeal by Alloy Die Casting after construction of the firm’s planned 70,300-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing building was denied.
The company’s application was turned down by the Planning Commission in August because the building was considered too tall for the area, City Planner Rick Warsinski said.
Company officials asked for the delay to give them more time to meet with residents in the area and review various options, Vice President Jay A. Andrews said.
Some residents have opposed the proposed building at 6560 Caballero Blvd. and the planned 30-foot wall surrounding it, arguing that it would be unsightly.
