William W. Ray, 42, executive director of the William F. Harrah Foundation National Automobile Museum in Reno. Ray, in a 20-year career, also had directed the Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville, the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa, Fla., the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento and the Petroleum Museum in Midland, Tex. Most recently he oversaw a $10-million construction project of a new facility for the 225 historic cars remaining in the 1,400-car collection once owned by casino magnate William F. Harrah. In Reno on Wednesday of cancer.
