Man Killed as Truck Hits Rig

A Fountain Valley man was killed Sunday morning when his truck hit a tractor-trailer parked on Euclid Street, according to Sgt. Don Nielsen of the Fountain Valley Police Department.
Arturo Lawrence Gonzalez, 25, was traveling south on Euclid west of Camelia Avenue when his four-wheel-drive truck veered to the right and crashed.
The operator of the tractor-trailer, who was asleep in the vehicle when it was hit, was not injured, Nielsen said.
Gonzalez died at the scene, authorities said.
There were no witnesses, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
