RTD to Offer Special Bus Service to Pasadena on New Year’s Day

Southland residents and visitors can avoid the parking and traffic problems to Pasadena for the Tournament of Roses Parade, Rose Bowl Game and Victory Park float displays. RTD will offer special service to Pasadena from many parts of the Southland on Monday.

Line 260 buses will leave Ocean and Long Beach boulevards in Long Beach at 4:50 and 5:04 a.m., then every 20 minutes until 6:38 a.m. and approximately every hour from 7:23 to 10:15 a.m. Buses will operate on their regular Sunday/holiday schedules after 10:15 a.m. Line 260 buses serve Long Beach, Compton, Lynwood, South Gate, Cudahy, Bell, Maywood, Commerce, Monterey Park, Alhambra, San Marino, Pasadena and Altadena.

There will also be a special park ‘n’ ride shuttle service from the parade route to the Rose Bowl, and return.

Tokens, cash or 90-cent discount tickets will be accepted for the shuttle service. Discount tickets, passes and transfers will not be accepted on special service lines. Patrons are reminded that RTD operators do not carry change nor sell tokens. For more information, call 972-6000.
